March 14, 2004Strange CoincidencesWhat a weird night I had tonight. I went to the bar to visit a "special" waitress that I've been talking to alot the past few weeks. Each week she seems to get cooler and cooler and I'm finding out that we have alot in common. Tonight the topic of age and birthdays came up and it turns out her Birthday is May 6th, 1 day before mine. I also found out that last week while I was home visiting my parents, she was also in the same area (Lehigh Valley) visiting some college friends. She was also at the same bar on Saturday night that I was at with my brother...We both thought that was kind of crazy. "I'm wasting time thinking about a girl and stealing her away from her own world, She and I would run away, I think of all the things that I'd say, we'd talk about important things and I picture it in my dreams, she'd teach me about modern art, and I'd show her it's ok to fart, and maybe i'd impress her by being in a band and maybe if I act real tough she'd let me hold her hand and maybe I'll win her heart by writing this song about her, Sometimes I sit at home and wonder if she's sitting at home thinking of me and wondering if I'm sitting at home thinking about her or am I just wasting my time...." -Blink-182 It's amazing how some song lyrics can come so close to how one feels....
