July 5, 2005Slaskifest 8 and thingsSo much has happened lately that hasn't made it to this site but I'll try and focus on the good things. This past Saturday I went to Slaskifest. For those that aren't familiar Slaskifest is an "all day super picnic" started by my friend Mike 8 years ago. What started as a small picnic of 30 or so close friends has turned into a 500+ people event where the money made goes to a charity of Mike's choosing. Please check out the official site for pictures from this year and past years Slaskifest craziness. I also made it to my friend Bri's birthday party. I didn't plan on going because an ex-girlfriend of mine was going as well and we're not talking right anymore, but some how I managed to suck it up and go anyway. It was just as awkward as I expected to be, but I guess I suprised everyone and they were glad I made a showing.
