Well it's been a week since I moved out of Pennsylvania and into Massachusetts so I thought I would report with my initial feelings.

The first impression I got of Massachusetts is that people here don't know how to drive. After being a here a week I realized why these people drive so bad. The traffic. It absolutely sucks. There is no other way to put it. No matter where you go or at what time, it seems inevitable that you are going to hit bad traffic.

My other major gripe is banking. I'm a member of a credit union back in PA, and up until this point if I had a check or some cash that I needed to deposit it wasn't a problem. Even if it was through another banks ATM, the transaction would go through. Not the case here in Massachusetts. I've been to multiple banks, including a credit union and none of them would accept the deposit. Normally I have direct deposit for work, but my former employer mailed my last check rather than doing a direct deposit, which has caused a major headache with needing to pay some bills and not being able to get the money to my account.

Aside from the problems, everything else has been great so far. The new apartment is awesome. The job is going well and will be better once training is over. Living by myself has been a nice change so far. I think a lot of people were worried for me, but so far that aspect of the move hasn't bothered me at all. I finally have cable tv and internet as of yesterday which has been nice. I hate to say it, but I really missed the digital cable programming guide and my ReplayTV, which for those that don't know provides Tivo like functionality.
